One of the standout features of the F20 Mate is its rear-drive electric motor system. Depending on the market version, the trike comes with either a 250W or 500W sustained motor with a peak output of 750W and 65Nm of torque. This setup gives the trike strong acceleration and enough power to handle hills and heavier loads comfortably. The top speed is limited to 25 km/h, keeping it compliant with European e-bike regulations while still delivering smooth and enjoyable performance. The cadence sensor and five pedal-assist levels allow riders to choose how much motor support they want during rides.
Battery performance is another major strength of the F20 Mate. The removable 48V lithium-ion battery is available in 18.2Ah and 20Ah versions, offering up to 960Wh of capacity. According to Fafrees, riders can expect a range between 60 and 80 kilometers on a full charge depending on riding conditions, terrain, and assist level. Charging from empty to full typically takes around 6 to 7 hours using the included 54.6V/3A charger. The removable design makes charging easier for apartment residents or users who prefer indoor charging.
The tricycle was designed with comfort and practicality in mind. Its 6061 aluminum alloy frame uses a low step-through design, making mounting and dismounting easier for riders of different ages and mobility levels. The front suspension fork with 35mm of travel, combined with a suspension seat post, helps absorb bumps and vibrations on rough roads. Fat 20×3.0-inch puncture-resistant tires improve traction and stability on pavement, gravel, and uneven surfaces. Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors provide reliable stopping power and additional safety, even when carrying cargo.
Cargo capability is one of the main reasons many riders choose the F20 Mate. The trike supports a maximum payload capacity of 180 kg and includes a rear rack for carrying groceries, bags, packages, or personal items. Optional front baskets and enlarged rear cargo baskets are also available. Its folding frame and handlebars allow the trike to be stored more easily despite its larger three-wheel layout. Fafrees also includes practical features such as front and rear lights with brake lights, an IP65 backlit LCD display, and IPX5 water resistance for daily riding in varying weather conditions.
