ENGWE MapFour N1 Pro – The Ultimate Urban Electric Bike

The ENGWE MapFour N1 Pro Electric Bike sets a new benchmark for modern commuting. Built with a powerful 250W mid-drive motor, ultra-fast charging, and smart technology, it is designed for riders who want efficiency, performance, and convenience in one package. Whether commuting through Dublin, cycling across European cities, or covering longer daily routes, this bike delivers a smooth and dependable experience.

Mid-Drive Motor with Torque Sensor

The ENGWE MapFour N1 Pro is powered by a 250W mid-drive motor paired with a torque sensor for precise power delivery. With 80Nm of torque, it handles hills, stop-start traffic, and long stretches with ease. Unlike hub motors, the mid-drive design ensures better weight distribution, improved efficiency, and a natural pedalling feel. The system adapts instantly to rider input, making every journey smoother and more energy-efficient.

Fast 1.5-Hour Charging

Charging convenience is one of the key advantages of the MapFour N1 Pro. The advanced battery system can be fully charged in just 1.5 hours, a significant improvement over standard e-bike charging times. Riders can top up the battery during a short work break or in between errands, ensuring the bike is always ready for the next journey. This makes it ideal for those who rely on their e-bike daily and want minimal downtime.

Integrated Smart Lock

Security is essential for urban riders. The MapFour N1 Pro comes with a built-in ring lock that automatically engages after 5 minutes of inactivity. The lock can be controlled via the handlebar display or the dedicated mobile app, providing simple and effective theft protection. This integrated system removes the need for bulky external locks and gives riders confidence when leaving the bike unattended in busy areas.

Extended Range for Daily Use

With a range of up to 100 km on a single charge, the MapFour N1 Pro provides the freedom to cover long distances without frequent recharging. For most commuters, this means an entire week of use on one charge. The efficient motor and advanced battery management system ensure consistent performance, whether on flat roads or hilly terrain.

Intelligent Lighting System

The bike is equipped with a smart lighting system designed for urban safety. Riders can switch between high and low beams depending on conditions, while integrated ambient lights enhance visibility. A solar-powered taillight further improves safety and reduces reliance on external charging. These features combine to deliver a safer and more adaptable riding experience, especially during night-time commuting.

App Connectivity

The ENGWE mobile app offers full control and monitoring of the MapFour N1 Pro. From tracking speed and battery levels to activating the smart lock and adjusting lighting, the app makes riding more interactive and secure. This seamless integration of technology ensures that riders remain informed and in control at all times.

Built for Urban Mobility

Durability and comfort are at the core of the MapFour N1 Pro design. Its carbon steel frame provides strength and stability, while the ergonomic geometry ensures rider comfort on longer trips. The combination of fast charging, extended range, smart security, and app control makes it one of the most advanced commuter e-bikes in its class.

By choosing this bike, riders benefit from a practical alternative to cars and public transport, saving money while reducing their environmental impact.

Pleasantly surprised. It arrived in quick time. Excellent build quality. Easy to assemble. Noted the front forks needed tightening. Lovely looking bike. Family member used it and was impressed. A future customer. Taking it on its first long ride tomorrow.

So let’s start by saying this bike was cheap and good for the price point it came at. Which means it’s alright, but not painless.

It’s basically the little things - the slide slides down if you go over bumps, one of the pedals was cracked from the trip over in the box so had to replace the pedals, the wiring was knocked a little loose too so make sure you get someone to service it once you assemble it to make sure the throttle is working properly. It’s also heavier than it looks so keep that in mind if you want to bring it up stairs, and the motor can struggle a bit on hills.

However- this is me nit picking. Cheap bikes are always a bit rattly and suffer from issues like this. So be prepared for that, but don’t let it discourage you too much. At the end of the day this will do you just fine for your morning work commute, and if you want to do longer or faster trips you should just shell out for a higher end bike.
